Jacob "Jake" Thomas Goodman, age 28 of Salem passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2020 at his home in Salem. Jake was born in Big Rapids, MI to Maria Bundy. He later moved to Salem, IL with his Mother and soon gained a father in Anthony Bundy who preceded him in death. Jake finished school in Salem where he was known in multiple circles as having a giant heart. There were not many times where he would not introduce himself with a hug. He was able to adapt to anyone and always had the ability to make them feel special. He had a knack to enter a room and make anyone in it laugh. Everyone who came in contact with him noticed that certain twinkle in his eyes. Us closest to him knew that was his heart shining through. His biggest passion in life was making people feel better, and that is what his legacy can live on as. He is survived by his Mother, Maria Bundy of Salem IL. His Brother, Joshua Goodman of Lake City, Michigan. His Niece and Nephew, Kaylin Goodman and Declan Goodman of Lake City, Michigan. Grandparents, Bonnie and Danny Goodman of Crystal Lake, Illinois. Many Aunts and Uncles as well as Cousins. Also his cousin Heather Bernhardt of Crystal Lake, Illinois who was more like a sister than a cousin. Aside from immediate family, he is also survived by his partners in crime, his best friends, his brothers, Timmy Pomeroy and James Blank of Iuka, Illinois. Growing up you could not find one of them without the other close by. A family graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5 at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem.
