Marcus A. Young, age 44 of Sandoval, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Marcus was born on August 9, 1980 in San Saba, TX, the son of Trudi (Young) Schoech. He married Kristina Smith and she survives in Sandoval. In addition to his wife, Marcus is survived by his mother, Trudi Schoech and husband Martin; children, Damion King, Jeffery King II and wife Megan, and Jazamine Young; brothers, Jesse Stewart and wife Leighanne, Jimmy Whitehead and wife Allison, Tanthalis Schoech, Vincent Gowing and wife Kendra, and Jeffrie Smith; sisters, Mary Thornton and husband Maverick, Kirsten Wolfgram and husband Michael, Tishnae Odom, and Brianna Bradley; special friend, Jeffery King Sr. and wife Misty; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Cummings and Manny Young; aunt, Trisha Patterson; and uncle, Tracy Young. Marcus enjoyed mowing, the outdoors, fishing, camping, being with family, and was an excellent cook on the grill. He attended Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem. He loved his wife, and his kids very much. He instilled in his kids the importance of education, was fun loving, and always supportive. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
