Back in the early 70’s, I spent many an hour at the sweetest most humble home off Tonti Road, visiting with the Donley clan. They adopted me, of sorts, and Ithey spent many an hour sharing with me their love of family, laughter, board games, Mama Donley’s yummy cooking and her biggest hugs. Jody shared her love of horses and the boys gave me the funnest rides on the back of that motorcycle the boys painted yellow in my honor. And Bill would tease me incessantly by making up humorous tall tails spinning yarns about his secret agent life as a maintenance worker….. I remember Bill as having such a kind soul and gentle spirit. I always looked forward to seeing that big ol’ grin of his. He was good guy and shall be missed by many…. There was a lot of love in that lil country house, and it was a blessing to have spent time there. Even the trains passing behind in the back yard brought a soul soothing rhythmic spirit to all who came there. I learned love for family in that house, and for that, I am eternally grateful… My heart goes out to the beloved Donley clan and their families. God bless you all.
