Linda Rae Haney, age 76 of Salem, formerly of Patoka, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Helia Healthcare of Salem. Linda was born on July 13, 1948 in Patoka, the daughter of Raymond and Bonnie (Palmer) Bowen. She married Robert “Bob” Haney on March 16, 1968 in Salem and together they shared 56 years united in marriage. Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” Haney of Salem; two daughters, Ronda Plumb and husband Daniel of Mt. Vernon, and Lara Morris and husband Thomas of Salem; a son, John Haney and fiancé Amy Webb of Salem; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren on the way; and one brother, Les Bowen of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Connie Cox. Linda was a devoted member of Evergreen Christian Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing golf, volleyball, walking, cooking and spending time with her family. A Celebration of Life service for Linda Rae Haney will be held at Noon on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Shannon Bopp officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation held on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
