Judy Ann Shoemaker, age 77 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Salem Township Hospital. Judy was born on September 7, 1946 in Salem, the daughter of Dale and Bernice (Williams) Phillips. She married Donald Shoemaker in August of 1965 and they enjoyed nearly 58 years of marriage. In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by two sons, Stacy Shoemaker and wife Karen of Salem and Derek Shoemaker and wife Mindy of Iuka; two grandchildren, Brandon Shoemaker and Emma Shoemaker; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Sandra Shoemaker and Allen Phillips. Judy was a member of the First Church of God in Salem. She had worked for Salem Glass Company and Austin’s Restaurant. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. Funeral services for Judy Ann Shoemaker will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Scott McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
