Thomas Harlan Webb, age 80 of Iuka, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. Thomas was born on March 31, 1944 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Eugene Mumpher Webb and Mary Marvalee (Powell) Webb. He married Marcella (Shaw) Webb on October 8, 1995 in rural Iuka, and together they enjoyed 28 years united in marriage. Survivors include his wife, Marcella of Iuka; children, Michael Peddycoart of Iuka, Thomas Webb and wife Angie of Murphysboro, Kevin Peddycoart of Effingham, Lori Ann Lipsy of Louisville, Kentucky, and Jennifer Thomas and husband Rick of Nashville, Tennessee; sister in-law, Carol Webb of Adena, Ohio; brother in-law, Melvin Shaw of Greenup; thirteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Webb; a son, Larry D. Peddycoart; a brother, Fred Webb; a son-in-law, Gary Lipsey; and four brothers-in- law and two sisters-in-law. Thomas was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Iuka. Before retirement Thomas worked as an engraver and machinist at Mt. Vernon Mill Works. Thomas served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. To honor his service, there will be military rites at the graveside. Funeral services for Thomas Harlan Webb will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Lance Tate and Jonathan Timm officiating. Burial will follow at the Arborcrest Memorial Park in Funkhouser, Illinois. There will be a visitation on Saturday from noon until the time of the service.
