Mary Anne Pemberton, age 81 of Farina, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Altamont Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, Illinois. Mary was born on December 19, 1942 in Rinard, Illinois the daughter of Orval T. and Grace F. (Maloy) Ledbetter. She married Larry L. Pemberton on May 28, 1960 at the Macedonia Christian Church in rural Farina and together they shared 63 years united in marriage. Survivors include her husband, Larry of Farina; three sons, Larry Jr. of Effingham, Joe and wife Cheryl of Salem, and Mark and wife Kay of Effingham; a brother, David Ledbetter and wife Dianne of St. Elmo; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Delbert Ledbetter. Mary was a homemaker. She was a devoted member of the Friedens Church of Christ in Farina. She was involved in numerous church and community groups in the Farina area. She loved her family. A Celebration of Life service for Mary Anne Pemberton will be held at Noon on Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Friedens Church of Christ in Farina with Phil Martin officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Farina Cemetery.
