Andrew “Andy” Eugene Slone, age 51 of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Andrew was born in Lima, Ohio on September 20, 1972, the son of Phillip “Phil” and Cindy (Beasley) Slone. Survivors include his spouse, Rena Sloat of Sikeston; a son, Andrew Marshall Slone of Sikeston, Missouri; siblings, Bridget Callahan of Sandoval, and Phillip “Mike” Slone and wife Kristina of Sandoval; step children, Jerry Kinney and wife Jennifer of East Prairie, Missouri, Edward Kinney of Salem, Kevin McWhirter and special friend Brandt Peterson of East Prairie, Missouri; grandchildren, Steven, Destiny, Lisa, Rena, Eddie, and Annie; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Brett Callahan, Rafale Callahan, Cheyenne Slone, Preston Slone, and Jace Slone. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Justin Slone; and a niece, Riley Slone. He worked as a cook. Graduated from Allen East High School in LaFayette, Ohio where he attended the Apollo Career Center. Andrew was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends. Funeral services for Andrew Slone will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Harvey’s Point Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 2:30 until the time of the service. Since Andrew was such an avid outdoorsman, the family requested that those in attendance wear camouflage to the services. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
