Madeline L. Williams, age 95 of Odin, passed away on Thursday October 22, 2020 at Odin Care Center in Odin. Madeline was born on September 12, 1925 in Nason, Illinois, the daughter of William and Jennie (Harris) Hardy. She married Cary Robert “Bob” Williams on July 15, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Bill Williams and wife Sherry of Odin; daughter-in-law, Grett Williams of Odin; siblings, Mary Ellen “Pud” Altadonna and husband Carl of Florida; Almeda Witter of Florida, and Bobby Hardy of Hoyleton; sisters-in-law: Blanche Hardy and Sue Hardy; grandchildren, Roger, Scott, Kim, Kerry, James, Travis, Jennie, Kristy, Chris, Angie, and Slick. She is also survived by beloved great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sons, Bobby Williams and Kenny Williams; brothers, Billy, Edward, and Don Hardy; and a sister Joan Ball. Madeline worked at the Odin High School as a cook. She was a member of the Youngs Chapel Church in Salem. Graveside services for Madeline L. Williams will be held on Sunday October 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin with Claude Howell officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Odin Care Center activity fund and left at Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
