Obituary of Perry Lee Tate
Perry Lee Tate, age 80 of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Helia Health Care in Salem.
Perry was born on November 19, 1942 in Centralia, the son of Ivan and Dora (DeSelms) Tate. He married Bonnie (Halfacre) Tate on March 3, 1974 in Salem, and she preceded him in death on September 4, 2004.
Survivors include his son, Curtis Hick and wife Lisa of Lynn, MO; two grandchildren, Zachary Hicks and Lindsey Hicks; siblings, Betty Tate, Linda Standley, Jerry Tate, Thomas Tate, Lewis Tate, and Lane Otis Tate; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and siblings, Lester Carl Tate, Rodney Tate, and Steve Tate.
Perry worked as a construction worker for many years. He was a member of the General Baptist Church.
Graveside services for Perry Lee Tate will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Palestine Cemetery in Iuka. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
