Karen Diane Meador, age 75 of Salem, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. Karen was born on March 2, 1948 in Salem the daughter of Joe and Opal (Rogers) Osborn. She married Allen Meador on April 15, 1965 at her parent’s home in Greendale, IL and he survives in Salem. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey Meador and wife Sarah of Salem, David Meador and wife Melissa of Walnut Hill, and Mark Meador and wife Stacey of Brookwood, AL; grandchildren, Kurtis Meador and wife Megan, Mike Meador and wife Olivia, Katie Steffen and husband Matt, Brittney Kniepmann and husband Kyle, Bridget Mulvaney and husband Kyle, Dalton Meador, and Shelby Meador; great-grandchildren, Hank, Claire, Audrey, Sloane, Trevor, Aden, Riley, Kasey, Mila, Luca, Charlie and John; sister, Vickie Jo Garren of Centralia; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Karen was of the Methodist Faith. She was a wonderful cook, had a secret to everything, and was a true class act. Her family was everything to her, she dedicated her life to being a wife, mom, and mamaw/grandma. Visitation for Karen Meador will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, followed by funeral services beginning at 3:00 pm with Ron Newman officiating. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery in Salem. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
