Jerel Justin Wisecup, age 33, of Salem, passed away at his home on September 20, 2023. Jerel was born on January 11, 1990 in Lima, Ohio, the son of Hank and Melissa (Vititoe) Wisecup. He is survived by his parents; four children, Aiden, Freya, Wyatt, and Abel; sister, Dana Wisecup of Salem; brothers, Matthew Davis and Noble Wisecup both of Lima, OH; special aunt and uncle, Hattie and Shannon Williams of Salem; special cousin, Jamie Thompson; and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, David McCormick. Jerel was of the Christian faith. He was a companion and caregiver for his father and loved spending time with his family. Private Services for Jerel Justin Wisecup will be held at Alma Cemetery, in Alma, IL. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.
