Angus Gordon Autry, age 67 of Jacksonville, Illinois, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. Angus was born April 17, 1955 in Dallas, Texas the son of Angus M. Autry and Arminta L. (King) Autry. He married Terrie Irene (Starr) Autry on February 16, 1991 in Irving, Texas and she preceded him in death. Survivors include his brothers: William and wife Sharon of Texas and Jay Autry and wife Sue of Washington; Sisters: Anita Autry of Texas; JoAnn Honea of Texas; Uncle: Bobby Gene Autry and Aunt: Gloria Autry of Texas, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Terrie; a sister, Mary Autry; and a brother, Daryle Autry. Angus worked at Casey’s General Store and was also an Associate Pastor at the Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville. He liked to help people and he enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making sweaters and blankets. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Bell Cemetery in Iuka, Illinois on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Crouse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
