Obituary of Charles D. Sullivan
Charles “Chuck” D. Sullivan of Oxford, Florida (formerly of Salem) passed away June 24, 2022.
He was born in Brubaker, Illinois November 2, 1935 to A.L. Sullivan and Mary (Thompson) Sullivan. He married Virginia (Flanagan) on September 16, 1956, who preceded him in death on September 17, 1994. He then married Donna (Livesay) who also preceded him in death on July 16, 2007.
He is survived by two sons, Charles B. Sullivan and Robert D. Sullivan, both of Florida. He is also survived by three grand-daughters, Christina Parrish, Ashley Sullivan, Carly Sullivan and one great grand-daughter, Kaylani Parrish, all of Florida. He is also survived by one brother, Norman Sullivan, wife Aloma Sullivan of Salem, and one sister-in-law, Helen Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Sullivan was of the Christian faith and a retired Postal Worker (Letter Carrier) for 30 years. Previously, he was an Assistant Manager at Brown Shoe Company and a Staff Manager (Salesman) for Washington National Insurance Company.
Upon Mr. Sullivan’s wishes, there will be no funeral and/or grave-side services. Mr. Sullivan will be cremated and ashes spread on the gravesite located at Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin, Illinois. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with local arrangements.
