Obituary of Joseph Hall
Joseph “Crazy Horse” Hall, age 67 of Salem, formerly of Kinmundy, passed away on April 4th, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Joe was born to Jim and Betty (Van Soyc) Hall on January 25, 1953. He married Rebecca Goostree and she survives in Salem.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Tammy Staton of Salem; furbabies, Emma and Charlie; grandchildren; Lauren Purcell and fiancé Abram Hensley, Nicholas Purcell, Dylan Smith and special friend Hannah Hudson all of Salem; great-grandchildren, Kolsyn and Hayven; mother-in-law, Katherine Goostree of Salem; brothers, Jimmy Hall and wife Kathy of Kinmundy, Rick Hall and wife Cyndi of Salem and Duane Hall and wife Terri of Kinmundy; brother-in-law, Mike Pannell of Salem; special friends, Scott and Paula Burton of Kinmundy, Cindy Silvey of Salem and Buster Smith of Kinmundy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Betty Hall; one sister, Tina Hall Mulvany; father-in-law, Ellis “Sonny” Goostree; son, Todd Goostree; sister-in-law, Bonnie Pannell; and best friend Keith “Hair” Smith.
He was an oil field worker, worked at World Color Press, and eventually retired from Egyptian Concrete in Salem. He met his loving wife, Rebecca Hall, in 1985. Joe was an avid fisherman and golfer. He loved his family, friends and animals and enjoyed being outdoors. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Care Specialists of Centralia or the Centralia Humane Society and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
