Obituary of Ronnie Joe Harper
Ronnie Joe Harper, age 66 of Benton, Illinois formerly of Whittington, Illinois, passed away on January 18, 2022 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.
Ronnie was born on August 1, 1955 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Forest and Phyllis (Fatheree) Harper.
Surviving is one sister Carolyn Nixon, husband Chuck; two nephews, Sam Nixon, wife Tina and Brian Nixon, wife Gin; and two great-nieces, Samantha and Brooklyn Nixon.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and a brother, Gary.
He was a member of the Whittington Baptist Church and a graduate of Rend Lake College.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem.
Memorial donations can be made to the Whittington Baptist Church and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
