Naomi Irene Sullivan, age 94 of Kinmundy, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation in Salem. Naomi was born on June 19, 1927 in Jefferson County the daughter of Carroll and Daisy (Blankenship) Simmons. She married Sterling J. “Shorty” Sullivan on July 11, 1946 in Salem and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2015. She is survived by her children, Janet Conant and husband Gary of Alma, Debbie Clark and husband Mark of Salem, Stan Sullivan of Steelville, MO, and Greg Sullivan and wife Jeanne of Bedford, IN; daughter-in-law, Susan Huber; brothers-in-law, Norman Sullivan and Chuck Sullivan; sisters-in-law, Helen Sullivan and Aloma Sullivan; grandchildren, April McCormick and husband Cliff, Lynn Riehm and husband Paul, Erin Sanders and husband Gene, Jennifer Pearce, Brad Conant and wife Raeanna, Scott Conant and wife Ali, Kyle Clark and wife Chelsea, Kolin Clark, Nick Sullivan, Nathan Sullivan and wife Pier, Clay Sullivan, Joey McDonald, and Josh McDonald; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dennis L. Sullivan; daughter-in-law, Patti Sullivan; brothers, Wayne Simmons and Harold Simmons; brothers-in-law, Vernon Sullivan, Larry Sullivan, Harold Jones, Marvin Dace, and Adolph Tockstein; and sisters-in-law, Evon Simmons, Betty Sullivan, Phyllis Jones, Geneva Simmons, Edith Dace, Delores Sullivan, and Violet Tockstein. Naomi was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Alma. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening. Funeral services for Naomi Irene Sullivan will be held at Noon on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Rusty Courson officiating. Burial will be in Summit Prairie Cemetery in Salem. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
