Carolyn S. Schoonover, age 67 of Kinmundy, passed away on December 6, 2021 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Carolyn was born on May 27, 1954 in Salem, the daughter of Verne and Amy Kathleen (McIntosh) Schoonover. She is survived by siblings, Marilyn Schoonover of Carlyle, Judy Donoho of Odin, Janet Wilkins of Centralia, Louise Dearing and husband Robert of Decatur, and Diana Riechman and husband Ted of Richview; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jimmy Steve Schoonover. Carolyn was a member of the Alma Christian Church. She worked for Littelfuse for 29 years and then at St. Mary’s Hospital for eight years as a secretary in medical records. Funeral services for Carolyn Schoonover will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at Sandy Branch Cemetery in Alma. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from Noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
