Obituary of Richard E. Tracy
Richard “Dick” E. Tracy, age 85 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home in Salem.
Dick was born on February 14, 1936 in Dunlap, Iowa, the son of Ellis and Lorean (Rank) Tracy. He married Audrey L. (Payton) Tracy on January 20, 1959 and she preceded him in death on March 27, 2016.
He is survived by one son, Greg Tracy and wife Rosie of Gridley, IL; one daughter, Debbie Rinehart and husband Mark of Salem; a brother, Gary Tracy and wife Barb of Bloomington; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Rick Tracy and wife Theresa; and a granddaughter, Carrie.
Dick served in the United States Army from 1955- 1958. He was a member of the Salem Moose Lodge. He was the owner of Tracy’s Texico in Salem. He later worked for the Marion County Housing Authority and was a Sandoval Police Officer.
There will be no public services. Memorial contributions can be made to the Veteran’s Administration and can be left at the Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
