Colleen Jenkins, age 87 of Iuka, passed away on May 14, 2019 at Carlyle Health Care Center in Carlyle, IL. Colleen was born on January 5, 1932 in rural Iuka, IL, to Virgil and Eula (Butler) Young. She married Truman Jenkins in 1950 and he survives in Iuka. Survivors also include a daughter, Carol Jones- Griffin and husband Carl Griffin of Carlyle, son, Allen Jenkins and wife Julie of Sarasota, FL, grandchildren, Stephanie Perez and husband Blake, Gregory Jones and friend Mary Davis, Dusten Jenkins, Jordan "Joey" Phoenix, Rebekah Noll and husband David, Bethany Silas and husband Adam, Seth Adkins and wife Angela, Yandell Phillips and husband Jeff, Brein "Mandy" Daugherty, Clint Flowers and friend Sara Rensing and Casey Flowers and husband Shaun; great grandchildren, Silas Truman, Mackenzie, Lucas, Sydnie, Shiloh, Sean, Anna Belle, Ariana, Asher, Olivia, Abigail, Carter, Collin, Aunicka, Madison, Damion and Ashley. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Vernice Young and a sister, Golda Lesher. Funeral services for Colleen Jenkins will be held on Tuesday May 21st at 11:00 am at the Iuka United Methodist Church in Iuka with Seth Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Iuka Cemetery in Iuka. There will be a visitation on Monday May 20th from 6-8 pm at the Rogers- Atkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Iuka United Methodist Church and can be left at the funeral home.
