Obituary of Rhonda Sue Moseley
Rhonda Sue Moseley, 62, of Lousville, passed away on the evening of July 4th, 2019 at Clay County Hospital.
Rhonda was born in Salem, IL on October 30, 1956 to Harlan Eugene and Emma Sue (Cox) Mulvaney. On September 3, 1977 she married Billy Gale Moseley at Brown Christian Church in Kinmundy. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2016.
She is survived by her mother, Sue Mulvaney of Kinmundy; son, Shae Moseley and wife Toni of San Diego; daughter, Sheena Flowers of Vandalia and significant other Jake Cooley; sister, Cindy Bassett and husband Brian of Kinmundy ; sister, Gina Eutsler and husband Mark of Kinmundy; mother-in-law, Alice Shaffer and husband Dick of Clay City; brothers and sisters by marriage, Doug Shaffer and wife Dona of Clay City, Karen Butler and husband Bob of Ohio; grandchildren, Carter Towler, Collin Flowers, and Aunicka Flowers as well as Wyatt and Kennedy Cooley; nieces and nephews, Jami Guy (Bassett) and husband Chris, Kyli Holmes (Bassett) and husband Craig, Lyndsey Young (Eutsler) and husband Chris, Kelsey Ramos (Eutsler) and husband Shane. As well as many special grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gale Moseley; father, Harlan Eugene Mulvaney; brother, Ricky Mulvaney; grandparent Lonnie and Mable Mulvaney and Emma and George Cox.
Rhonda was a woman of strong faith and a longtime member of Kinmundy Christian Church. She worked as an assistant special education teacher at South Central Middle School for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and family and regularly volunteered in the community. She was a long time, active member of her local Rho Phi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Her selfless nature was recognized by her family, friends, and church family. She was kind, generous, humble, and steadfast. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services for Rhonda Sue Moseley will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Kinmundy Christian Church with Josh Conley officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at Kinmundy Christian Church from 5-8pm. Interment will be at Clay City Cemetery in Clay City. Memorials may be made to the Kinmundy Christian Church and can be received at the Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
