Obituary of Leo John Murphy
Leo John Murphy, age 66 of Salem, passed away on November 6, 2019 in Salem.
Leo was born on August 21, 1953 in Paterson, New Jersey to Frances Alan and Theresa (Metro) Murphy. He married Virginia (Lown) Murphy in June of 1982 and she survives in Salem.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter Nicole Conti of Salem; one sister, Paula Malatesta of North Carolina and four grandchildren, Emily, Cody, Jonathan and Bella.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Christopher Murphy.
Leo worked as an incinerator operator, window washer and retired as a CNA. He was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Keansburgh, New Jersey along with membership in the Knights of Columbus.
No public services will be held. Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family.
