Bridget Karrick, age 42 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Clay County Hospital in Flora. Bridget was born on September 4, 1977 in Flora, the daughter of Eber and Pat (Gray) Bright and they survive in Cisne. She married Samuel “Sam” Karrick on September 5, 2015 at Cisne Christian Church and he survives in Salem. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two sisters, Tracy Chitwood and husband Jason of Fairfield and Theresa Bright and significant other Amanda Ash of Cisne; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marian and Duane Karrick of Salem; nieces and nephews, Brooklyn and fiancé Corey, Austin, Toni and fiancé Evan, Erica, Bailee, Nicholas, Lily and Miley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Duane and wife Cathy, Mike and wife Lorie, Sherry and Cindy and husband Alan. Bridget was preceded in death by her grandparents. Bridget was employed as a merchandiser for Nabisco at Wal-Mart. She was a former teacher at Reaching for the Stars Daycare. She was a member of the Cisne Christian Church. She volunteered her time with the Salem Emergency Management and loved dogs. Funeral Services for Bridget Karrick will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Travis Nix officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. Visitation will be on Saturday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Wayne County Humane Society and can be received at the funeral home.
