Obituary of Alice M. Lawson
Alice M. Lawson, age 66 of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Central City, passed away at her home on April 1, 2020.
Alice was born on August 26, 1953 in Salem, the daughter of William and Elnora “Faye” (Miller) Meadows. She married Ivan Raymond Lawson on April 10, 1982 in Central City and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Chuck Lawson and wife Nicole of Centralia, Darren Lawson of Mt. Vernon and Donnie Meadows and wife Amanda of Salem; two daughters, Delinda Carter and husband Trent of Centralia and Wendy Denton and husband Scott of Centralia; six sisters, Pat Arnold and husband Ron of Salem, Aletta Mericle and husband Clyde of Salem, Genie Cole of Salem, Loretta Smith and husband Morris of Kell, Jessie Sikes of St. Francis and Dodie Davis of Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers, Billy Meadows and wife Helen of Salem and Olen Meadows of Salem; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Earl Franklin O’Kuly.
A Memorial Visitation for Alice M. Lawson will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 11 am until 1 pm at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be enforced. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is in charge of arrangements.
