John “David” Holsapple, age 81 of Salem, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 27, 2020. David was born on December 13, 1938 in Salem, the son of Olen Wade and Bessie Helen (Squibb) Holsapple. He married Shirley Parker on June 13, 1959 and she survives in Salem. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Matthew Holsapple and David Douglas Holsapple both of Salem; one brother, Jim Holsapple and wife Nila of Salem; and one sister, June Morris of Salem. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jack, Jerry and Ed Holsapple. David was co-owner of Holsapple Motors in Salem for many years. He attended the Salem Assembly of God and had served in the National Guard. There will be no public service. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family.
