Obituary of Karen Virginia Crippen
Karen Virginia Crippen, age 68 of Salem, passed away on September 14, 2019 at her home.
Karen was born on January 8, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky to Oscar Louis Reiss and Virginia (Williams) Reiss. She married Leon Crippen and he preceded her in death.
Karen is survived by one son, Brian Crippen and wife Michele of Festus, Missouri; one grandson, Elijah Crippen of Festus, Missouri; one brother, Don Reiss and wife Nancy of Louisville, Kentucky; one niece Jennifer and a nephew Jeremy.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leon.
Karen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Salem. She was a school teacher for many years.
Private family services will be held later.
Memorials can be made to the Donor’s Choice and can be received at the funeral home.
