Obituary of Glenda Evans
Glenda Evans, age 64 of Salem, passed away on Saturday March 14, 2020 at her home.
Glenda was born on October 20, 1955 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of William Dane and Doris Lee (Smith) Huston. She married Lee Evans on December 1, 2012 in Alma, Illinois and he survives in Salem.
Also surviving are her daughters, Sharon Doreen Hunt and significant other James Flanagan of Salem and Nicole Evans of Effingham; sisters: Brenda Chandler and Melinda Williams both of Pekin; brother, William Huston Jr. and wife Marie of Alma; grandchildren, Trenton Hunt and wife December, Emily Weddle and husband Jeremy, Chance Hunt, Camden Evans, and Curran Woolbright; great grandchildren, Jansen and Amiyah Weddle. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews, Jason Chandler and Samuel Huston.
Glenda worked at World Color Press in Salem for 10 years and later was the owner and operator of G&M Jewelry Store in Salem. She was a member of the Salem Elks Club, the Salem Country Club, and the Salem American Legion. She had a love for golfing and gardening.
Celebration of Life services for Glenda Evans have been postponed and will be held at a later date at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and can be left at the funeral home.
