Wilhelmina "Minnie" Elkins Osborn, age 99 of Salem passed away on Thursday August 29, 2019 at the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, IL with her family present. Minnie was born on July 14, 1920 in Farina, Illinois to Fred and Lydia (Soldner) Ernst. She married Kenneth Elkins and he preceded her in death. She later married Joe Osborn and he preceded her in death. Survivors include, two sons, Larry Elkins of Bloomington and Forrest Elkins and wife Jackie of Kinmundy; two daughters, Jane Adams and husband Chris of Charleston and Karen Tinsley and husband Chuck of Salem; daughter in-law, Sandy (Elkins) Arnold of Alma; grandchildren, Cheryl Brown, Tammy Collins, Kimberly Rinaldi, Joseph Elkins, Kenny Elkins, Nicki Brubaker, Ron Lybarger, Sheila Lewis, Shelly Bardwell, Randall Knaak, and Chelsea Garrett; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, a son, Clark Elkins, a sister, Irma Scott, and a daughter in-law, Aggy Elkins. Minnie was a farm/ housewife and was of the Christian Faith. Funeral services for Wilhelmina "Minnie" Elkins Osborn will be held on Sunday September 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Rogers- Atkins Funeral Home with Claude Howell officiating. Burial will follow at the Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, Illinois. There will be a visitation held on Saturday August 31st from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Rogers- Atkins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Donor's Choice and may be left at the funeral home.
